Our office offers four types of tooth-whitening systems to meet our patients' needs. To help you choose the system that is best suited for you, please read the following whitening system descriptions. A member of our staff will gladly answer any questions you may have to achieve that brighter smile.
Opalescence Go (OG)
If you are currently using Crest white strips or another over-the-counter whitening product, you should try our new OG. It's quick & easy with less mess and better coverage. The cost for a single tray is $10, a 4-pack is $36 and a 10-pack is $80.
(Note: Must be at least 14 years old to use OG.)
In-Office Whitening
This is for our patients that just want to brighten their smile. This procedure involves one visit that lasts for an hour and 15 minutes. Additional visits are optional. The teeth are isolated and a bleaching agent is placed on the teeth for three, 15 minute increments. You will also receive one Opalesence Go ($10 value). The cost for this procedure is $140 a visit.
Take-home Bleaching Trays
This is a whitening system that the patient does at home. It is stronger than any of the over the counter kits that you might find at the store, and therefore more effective. Molds are taken of the patient's teeth and a custom-fitted whitening tray** is fabricated. These trays are then either worn overnight or twice a day for 2-3 hours. We recommend whitening one arch of the mouth at a time. The patient is closely monitored during this procedure. After the initial whitening, the patient then keeps the trays which may be used for periodic touch-ups at home. The initial cost for 1 arch with the system is $200. (To do both arches is just $100 additional, or $300 total). Touch-up whitening tubes cost $18 - $20.
ZOOM!
Zoom! is our light-activated bleaching system that gives the most dramatic bleaching results (up to 6-10 shades lighter!) in just one visit. You may have seen this procedure highlighted on the television show "Extreme Makeovers". With this system, the teeth are isolated, the whitening agent is applied, and a specially-designed light is used to activate the agent. The light allows the whitening agent to penetrate the teeth to remove deep stains and discolorations. The entire procedure takes just 90 minutes. The patient will also receive custom-fitted whitening trays** for touch-ups with this system. The cost for this time-efficient system is $550. This is definitely the best bleaching system currently available. (Zoom! with your spouse or a friend and save $50 each!)
